Philly cops looking for suspect in 24th District WAWA robbery

On December 5, 2018, at 8:45 pm, an employee, a 19-year-old female, who is an employee for Wawa located at 3222 Richmond Street was behind the counter when an unknown white male approached the counter with a bag of potato chips. The suspect then asked for cigarettes and when the employee went to ring up the purchase, the male stated: “Take your headset off and use the Quick Drop button on the register” while simulating he was armed with a weapon with his hands inside his sweatshirt pocket, according to police. After complying with the suspect’s demands opening the register and placing an unknown amount of money inside a plastic bag along with cigarettes, the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported during this incident.

Suspect Description: White male, 40 years-of-age, 6’0″, medium build, beard with mustache, wearing a black ski cap, gray hooded sweatshirt with red writing on the shoulder with the word “Amerikick” on the back, blue jeans.
